What We Collect
Your Account
When you sign up, we ask for your email and name. That is it. If you use Google or LinkedIn, we get only what you explicitly authorize during sign-in. We never see or store your social media passwords.
Your Resume & Job Description
We store your resume and job description so our AI can generate suggestions. That content is yours. We do not sell it, share it with recruiters, or feed it into advertising systems. We only use it to help you write a better resume.
How You Use MirrorCV
We track basic usage data — which features you use, whether things break, and broad analytics — so we can make the product better. We do not build individual advertising profiles or track you across the web.
How We Use It
Simply put: we use your data to run the service and make it better. That means generating AI suggestions, keeping your account working, fixing bugs, and occasionally emailing you about something important. We do not use your data for anything else.
AI Providers
To generate suggestions, we send your resume and job description to trusted AI providers. We specifically prohibit them from using your content to train their models. Each provider has its own privacy practices, which we review carefully. You can read more about how we handle this in our Security page.
Who Else Sees Your Data
We work with a small set of providers for hosting, authentication, email, and analytics. Each has access only to what they need to do their job. We do not share your data with advertisers, marketers, or data brokers.
Your Rights
You can view, edit, or delete your data anytime from your account settings. Deletion removes it from our live systems immediately. Backup copies may persist briefly as part of normal recovery processes, but the data is no longer accessible.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws like GDPR or CCPA may give you additional rights. Just email us and we will help.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your data while your account is active. Guest sessions are temporary and clear automatically. If you delete your account, we start removing your data right away. In some cases we may need to keep minimal records longer for legal or fraud-prevention reasons, but that is the exception, not the rule.
Security & Honesty

Kids
MirrorCV is designed for job seekers, not children under 16. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we delete it immediately.
Changes
As MirrorCV grows, this policy may change. If we make a material change, we will update the date above. Continued use after that means you are okay with the updated policy.
